the band started out in austria about 1995 or so. dtch initially consisted of 3 people, Christoph Oehlknecht, Armin Walland and Hannes Ziegerhofer and began like most bands as a garageband with a few small gigs but there were no ambitions to do something professional for the first few years. in 2000 the band started recording material for the first album "Things In Front Of Other Things" [TIOOT]. armin and stoff did the musical work, recording, engineering and mastering and hannes came up with the lyrics.
