Fundada em julho de 2018, em Belo Horizonte, a Drowned Men nasce do encontro de cinco amigos com uma paixão em comum: o pós-punk. Da literatura vampiresca até influências musicais mais recentes, como o pós-punk revival, é criada a atmosfera soturna na qual a Drowned Men finca suas raízes cinzas e sombrias. É ponto pacífico entre os integrantes a influência dos cânones do gênero, entre eles: Bauhaus, Echo and The Bunnymen, Siouxsie and the Banshees
