Drop Black Sky's sound has been compared to Dead Can Dance, Boards of Canada, Cocteau Twins, and Tool. The band was featured in a performance of San Francisco's best avant-garde music. They were also chosen as a supporting act for both Collide and Black Tape For a Blue Girl.
