About Driver Eleven
Emo side project of Houseboy members Brett Friesen (drums) and Ace Cowden (guitar, vocals). Formed in early 1997 after the death of Houseboy guitarist Dan Garcia. Only active for a few months with a split 7" and two compilation appearances before being put on hold due to Houseboy reforming. In late 1998, Ace and Brett move to New Jersey and reform Driver Eleven with a new lineup. Demos were recorded but the band ultimately ended after the sudden death of guitarist Phil Nelson in January 1999.
