About Douglas Perry
Tenor Douglas Perry has distinguished himself throughout the United States and Europe as a versatile singing actor, recognized for his unique characterizations of over ninety operatic roles. He is best known for his universally acclaimed portrayal of Mahatma Gandhi in Philip Glass’ opera Satyagraha, in which he made his European debut in the world premiere of this work with Netherlands Opera. This role also brought Mr. Perry to his debuts with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, San Francisco Opera, and Seattle Opera.
