Donner Party Picnic started sometime around the spring of 2008 as a direct reaction to the boredom that comes from not being in a band. Their songs are mostly about the menial and absurd, yer average day to day drudgeries of salt mining on Mount Olympus. They are based out of Brooklyn and enjoy long walks on the beach and the kind of sunsets that are prettier from the 69th street pier in Bay Ridge where you can see the enchanting gleam of smog over New Jersey, the walls of Rikers Island and yes, the Statue of Liberty too.
