It's a great shame that Don Cooper's music has more or less faded into obscurity because most of it is brilliant. Don Cooper's music is stylistically similar to early 70's artists such as Jim Croce and Don McClean. Cooper had a laid back vocal style and often sung about escaping the city life in favour of a more bucolic lifestyle. Don Cooper's first four albums were released on a small label called Roulette, all are excellent and worth seeking on vinyl if you can find them.
