As dj, journalist and recording artist, Awal has been interested in world and electronic music for a long time. Awal’s style is a blend of northern African beats, oriental rhythms and pure electronic music in addition to underground dance floor tunes. In 1998 he was asked to play at ‘New Bled Vibrations Nights’ in Paris venue Divan Du Monde. Over the past 5 years Awal has played very often; Parisian venues included, L’Elysée Montmartre, Cabaret Sauvage
