About DJ 3RD RAIL
The year was 1981 and I was just like any other kid, I would listen to the radio at night and became attracted to some of the music I heard. I wasn't in NY at this age. So, I'll tell you how I was introduced to Hip-Hop & Djing. I started buying and listening to records in late '81. Around '83, my cousin (Papo) bought some turntables; one Technique with no pitch...and a Pioneer with pitch; and a GLI mixer. I practiced blending records using my fingers to control the speed. Around this time Breakdancing was my thing.
