About Distance and Materials
Distance and Materials is Howard Dodd from West London in the UK, who has been releasing electronic music on and off since 1994. His first appearance was under the moniker Anoesis on D*fusion Records, and since then he's also recorded as Oxidation and one half of Tongue, appearing on labels such as Octopus, Series 500 (Domino), Compost and K7. Howard's goal is to fuse Martin Hannet with Antonio Carlos Jobim, via incremental steps of Vangelis. "I want to make the music sound electronic, but also as if it could have been played.
