Dionne was born in Buffalo, New York, and she was introduced to performing during the summer of 1977 when she showed-up at rehearsal for her family's rock-n'-roll band. Although the other family members didn't take Dionne seriously at the time, she vowed to someday fulfill her passion for singing and entertaining an audience.
