Dionisio Bellante (Verona, July 16, 1610 - October 5, 1685) was an Italian violinist and composer. Priest, from the end of 1630 to 1634 he was an extraordinary musician as a violinist and cantor at the Cathedral of Verona . Remembered as an excellent instrumentalist and composer, on November 4, 1658, after regular competition, he was appointed Maestro of the same chapel which was then in poor quality conditions. In a short time under the guidance of Bellante the Schola returned to its splendor.
