Baptized in Liege in 1703, Dieudonné Raick (1703 - 1764) left this city very early for Antwerp, where he was a chorister at the cathedral. From 1721, he held the position of organist. Ordained a priest in 1726, he served as organist of the Saint-Pierre collegiate church in Louvain. Perhaps he received advice from Matthias van den Ghein. He would also have taken theology courses in Lyon. Before his return to Antwerp, where he will end his days, Raick will stay again in Soignies and Ghent.
