About Diet Christ
The "drunk rock" Diet Christ formed in Carbondale, IL in the mid 80s following the path of The Jesus Guys and Blood Stained Tool, but lasting a decade longer than their short-lived predecessors. In addition to touring the southern midwest bible belt, Diet Christ hosted and promoted a D.I.Y. scene at The Lost Cross House that attracted other hardcore bands to visit Carbondale. Close to 25 years after their first show, with The Lost Cross House still hosting punk rock, Diet Christ played their first shows since the 90s there in July 2009.
