About Dick van Altena
Zanger, gitarist, producer en vooral schrijver, van countrysong tot kinderliedje. Geboren in 1957 in Oosterhout, in het hartje van de Over-Betuwe in Gelderland. Inmiddels vinden bijna 1000 liedjes daar hun oorsprong. Even wat feiten over Dick van Altena: Van 1977 tot eind 2005 hét gezicht en vooral hét geluid van countryband (The) Major Dundee (Band) (‘The Longer The Distance’). Schrijver voor o.a. Henk Wijngaard (‘Hé Suzie, de bui is over’), De Sjonnies (‘Annemarie’) en Saskia & Serge (‘Als ik kijk in je donkere ogen’).
