About Det Neodepressionistiske Danseorkester
Det Neodpressionistiske Danseorkester (also known as D.N.D.) was a new wave group from Århus, Denmark. Their eclectic guitar- and drum-less sound was mainly inspired by minimalist rock like Talking Heads and the Neue Deutsche Welle music of the time, but incorporated/parodied a wide range of musical genres, such as industrial, pop, funk, ska and heavy metal. Lyrically, the band combined modern alienation and angst with comical snippets of everyday language - in a bewildering mix of Danish, English and German.
