About Derek McTavish Mounce
Derek McTavish is an artist from the across United States, having lived in Seattle, Arizona, Connecticut, and Florida. His influences are a bit drastically unusual; he started by writing electronic, mostly percussive music, then transitioned into writing fully orchestral film scores for a number of indie and student films. After a number of years writing purely instrumental music, including some rather abstract solo piano pieces, in the summer of 2008 he recorded his first contemporary, alternative-ish song -also his first with vocals.
