Denim Boot Ponies (formerly known as Your Basic Blue Denim Boot Ponies) center around the songwriting team of JT Johnson & BD Jones and the recently added (2009) multi-instrumentalist DD Kapps. Reformed in 2008 after a nearly 20 year hiatus, the Denim Boot Ponies sound that had been hinted at in one of their earliest recordings, "I Found da Lord," finally came of age and to fruition. Denim Boot Ponies released their debut recording "Big Hats & Ultimatums" in January 2009.
