Dee Jackson Field is an American singer-songwriter born in Newark, New Jersey. She attended Newark Public Schools and later studied music at Rutgers University, Newark with classical conductor John Eric Floreen and at Jazzmobile in Harlem, New York with singer/actress Ednah Holt and saxophonist/composer/arranger Frank Foster. She began her professional career with the girl group Thunder, Storm & Lightning, signing with Island Records. In August 2014 she released her first single as a solo artist.
