Death of the Neighbourhood is the prolific songwriter Stephen Jones from Babybird. Death Of The Neighbourhood signed to ATIC Records in 2006 and an eponymously titled debut LP was released 2 years later to great critical acclaim. IDJ called it "eerie ambient from another planet" whilst Uncut commented on it's "stark, disarming beauty". It's a 32 track, 2 CD set, the first disc of which is made up of vocal tracks ('songs', for want of a better word), whilst Disc 2 is made up of instrumental pieces.
