Days Awake, of Asbury Park, NJ was founded in 2004. Days Awake plays epic-scale, honest Rock and Roll with tons of soul, plenty of room shaking power, and an extra dose of jazz intelligence. While tapping into the mainstream sounds of heavy rock bands, the luminous jams drive the rootsy energy of Days Awake to a higher plane. This is a band that almost any club-rock fan would like, but the subtlety of their instrumentation, the earnestness of their delivery, and their obvious belief in the redemptive power of music lifts them above the rest.
