International recording and touring artist David Wertman began his career in the 1960’s in New York City. He is established in the fields of modern and traditional Jazz, Big Band, and Show Entertainment. His approach to the bass combines the pure resonant tone of the classicist with the swinging rhythms, innovative technique and emotional power of an experienced Jazz player. In his playing one can hear echoes of such legendary bassists as Charles Mingus, Paul Chambers and Ray Brown.
