David Watkyns is a songwriter and musician from Cape Town, South Africa. Born June 21st, 1989, David was surrounded by a musical family. His father was a songwriter and performer with Cape Town band Kerygma and his three siblings are all multi-instrumentalist. Starting piano at 7 years old and trumpet at 8. After high school he graduated Bachelors of Music from University of Cape Town in Jazz Studies and winner of MELA Legends Award for "Contribution by youth to South African Music Industry".
