About David Lucas
David Lucas (Helfman) was born in Buffalo, NY. He was a record promotion man for Paul Anka, Frankie Avalon, Sam Cook, The Everly Brothers, Pat Boone and many others. He was a performer in Miami Beach where he met drummer Buddy Rich and toured the world. Lucas moved to Los Angeles where he produced several artists and was the production singer at the Sahara Hotel in Las Vegas where he was discovered by Doris Day and was signed to Arwin Records.
