This past year has brought many great surprises to the talented artist .Dave Sereny was nominated for Guitarist of the Year and Album of the Year for the 2008 Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards. Additionally, he performed live at the stellar event on March 7, 2008, which took place at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. A Canadian native that resides in Toronto, Sereny was a multiple nominee in 2006 and received another nomination in 2007.
