About Das Goldene Zeitalter
Das Goldene Zeitalter, or 'The German Shepherds', are a pioneering electro-jazz ensemble hailing from Berlin, Germany. 'Talter were the darlings of the underground electro cabaret scene in the heyday of the Weimar Republic; famously the 'personal favourites' of Reichskanzler Gustav Stresemann. Lead singer Daphne von Shleicker has, however bestowed a mixed legacy - her undoubted genius in the medium of electro cabaret marred by her relationship with and influence over finance minister Heinrich Bruning
