About Darkfield IlluminatoR
DI is the work of Dan Numbers (guitar, Bass, yelling, programming) and Laurel Love (Vox, primary lyricist). Acoustic drum duties in the studio for the Glimmer album were courtesy of Bob Sable. Their music is a mix of Industrial and Metal with a very decidedly Gothic influence. The ethereal female vocals, shimmering guitar lines and melodic bass draws the listener in, only to slam them back when the music gives way to doom metal guitar riffs and distorted male vocals, underpinned by driving bass, clanking percussion loops and audio samples.
