Running against the grain of modern rap’s flows and aesthetics, and likewise counter to dub poetry traditions experimental hip-hop duo of Pondoo (aka Luke Miles) and Polar Kid (aka Nicky Elson) eke out in the mouldier shadows where those sounds meet an enduring, refusenik post-punk spirit, where noise is built on a foundation of decades of British music: punk, synth-pop, grime, dubstep and hallucinogenic reggae. But at its heart it's bleak, fragile, surrealist mood music. Recent works feature dub poet Elijah Minelli on the mic.
