Jude-Andre Charles (born June 23rd, 1976) is a Montreal-based producer and part-time rapper since 1998. The name "Rippa" came from Jack The Ripper, so he cleverly used his own initial to form the nickname J.A.C. Da Rippa. Soon, it simply remained Rippa. Since he is also of a very religious family, he also adopted the nickname Onyx God, which in his terms mean Black Man; "Onyx" being the black gem, and "God" because he was made in the image of his Creator.
