About Cyster Scalpel
Cyster Scalpel were formed in 2004 by Andy 'Anders' McDonald, with the aim of playing music inspired by classic rock acts such as Iron Maiden, AC/DC and Guns N' Roses. This proved difficult however, as suitable musicians were hard to come by, and the next four years saw a spree of hiring-and-firing until the perfect (current) line-up was complete. Even though little progress was made in the way of live shows during this time, Anders continually honed the sound through a series of home-made demo tapes
