About Curica
Recognized as one of the Masters of Amazon Music, Mestre Curica was the founder of the Grupo Uirapuru, innovating to use the banjo in the rhythm known as a guitarrada, a mixture of choro, carimbó and merengue. In 2003, along with Mestre Aldo Sena and Mestre Vieira formed the musical group Mestres da Guitarrada, spreading this musical style that originated more than 30 years in Barcarena, interior city of Pará
