Cost Of Desire formed in Columbia, MO, from the remains of the local alt-metal band Arsenic Dream around March of 2011. Shaun (Bass), Beazl (Drums), and Josh (Vocals) were looking to form a new band, with a heavy focus on rock, instead of metal. After talking with several guitarists, they contacted Justin, who was the guitarist for the now defunct local band, Numb. After a few jam sessions Justin officially decided to join.
