About cosmic dial tone
Dieter Zimmermann produces experimental electronica under the Cosmic Dial Tone (2008 – present) alias. Having studied Electronic Engineering and Music theory, he works in software. His musical influences are very diverse, and his own music is an attempt to further broaden the scope of electronic music by combining a wider sound palette with Science Fiction themes. His first music-only album SNR.1 (i.e. Signal-to-Noise Ratio of zero point one) was released in 2009.
