About Contreau
As Contreau, Julian Determan blends and prunes found sounds into melodic compositions that physically occupy spaces, or at least make them appear so. His approach is comparable to that of a landscaper, only working with what he’s been given. In Julian’s case, it happens to be sounds and audio inspirations scattered across the virtual world. From these ‘found sounds’ he creates an auditory vista through which sounds assume different personas.
