About Coke Weed X
Coke Weed X is a collaboration between brothers Brendan and Brian Costello, best known for their guitar playing (Brendan) and drumming (Brian) in Lawrence, Kansas indie rock bands Fourth Of July, the Dactyls and the Hips. Liberated from the formulas of lyric-based songs and live band interplay, Coke Weed X evolved as a headphone dialogue, an exploration of shared influences (Boards of Canada, Tortoise, Madlib) and an outlet for the progressive skills and immediacy of ideas that come from years of consistent playing.
