About Close to Me
Close to Me is a post hardcore band from Memphis, TN founded in 2009 by Garrett Metts and Taylor Bryant. In 2009, they released a split CD with Adaje. A year later, they released a seven song full-length CD entitled Mother Earth, Father Sky. After releasing Mother Earth, Father Sky, Gavin Mayes, also known as experimental hip-hop artist Cities Aviv, was a temporary vocalist for the band at three shows. Later in 2010, Chance Clement joined the band as the permanent vocalist.
