Vienna, Austria (2008 - present) Cinématique is a band from Vienna, Austria. It was founded by Alex Mallory, Chris Augusti and Nico Sieder in 2008. The band started without a proper direction, experimenting with Indie rock, but soon discovered their love for uncommon song structures and an atmospheric, cinematic kind of sound. Although Mallory says that the band's sound could change anytime, they are mostly associated with the Post-Rock or Art-Rock genre
