About Christopher William Pierce
Born in Arizona in 1974, Mr. Pierce grew up in Phoenix studying at Arizona State University, and later at the Peabody Conservatory and the Aspen Music Festival and School as a composition fellow under Christopher Rouse and Nicholas Maw. Other composers he has studied with are Christopher Theofanidis, James DeMars and Dello-Joio. He is currently a Doctoral student at the University of Toronto under Gary Kulesha. Among the many awards he has received is the top prize in the Macht Orchestral Composition Competition
