About Christopher Todd
Christopher Todd is an experimental artist from Brooklyn, NY. Birth Defects is his first solo album, recorded in 2007. He makes extensive use of field recordings, shortwave radio manipulations, electronic ambient soundscapes and assorted percussion elements. All tracks on the debut album were recorded spontaneously to stereo, with no overdubs or sequencing used. The sound is a slowly moving dark mass, a stark juxtaposition of organic sounds and mechanical, dissonant electronic tones and radio noise.
