Christopher was a percussionist in high school and eventually became bored with music from people who never tired of hitting things. His music has been very directly influenced by an interection of ambient/industrial artists and twentieth century composers: Aphex Twin, Robert Ashley, Brian Eno, Hafler Trio, Negativland, Nurse With Wound, Test Department, Laibach, The Residents, Skinny Puppy, Pierre Schaeffer, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Edgard Varese, John Zorn, and Zoviet France.
