Chet Morton formed in August 1985 in Minneapolis, MN. They immediately recorded a memorable collection of original and cover songs that was released by the Valu-Plus label on individually hand-mastered cassete tapes entitled "Missing Chums." The tapes, widely distributed throughout Minnesota, showcased the diverse artistic visions of the band members. Unfortunately, the band was unable to reconcile these visions into a coherent future direction, so they split amicably in August of 1985.
