About Chehols
The Band “Chehols” aka “The Gypsy Cowboys” started out as nothing, but a bunch of friends, having fun playing on the streets for pocket money. The first line up of the band (2008-2010) consisted of Ilja Krumins on guitar and vocals, Matiss Tazans on drums and Ivars Steinbergs on double bass. As they played the streets, offers from different kinds of bars began to flow in, and after a season of regular bar gigs, the guys began to realize that playing is not “just for fun”, but that it can also be a real and an exciting line of work.
