About charlottesville
charlottesville were formed in 1999 by miles fender and iris lapalme, and are most often compared to a hybrid of the red house painters, radiohead and low. the band was born mainly out of miles' necessity for a change in musical style following his relocation from england to san francisco; formerly, he had fronted the british goth rock band earth calling angela. debut album, 'the shark who pulled a mussel', was released in 2001 and was received very well by press and fans alike.
