Born in Chicago raised in Texas," Charlie J Memphis' direction for his life was decided the first time he stepped on a Chicago stage. At a young age, in the suburbs of Chicago, Charlie started preparing for a musician's life. He played out whenever possible to deliver raw and loud performances that were inspired by his punk heroes. After moving to Texas, Charlie developed a new and unique sound inspired by his new home. A sound that pays homage to the forefathers and the outlaws of country music, while not forsaking his first love, punk.
