About Charles Guillet
Charles [Karel, Carolus] Guillet, born in Bruges (Flanders) in the last quarter of the 16th Century, buried on May 1 , 1654 in Bruges, was a Belgian music theorist and composer. He was a notable in the city of Bruges where he held various public functions [ 1 ] : he was a municipal councilor during the 1616-1617 financial year, head of the district in that of 1618-1619, alderman in the 1620-1621 financial years and 1621-1622. He was elected in 1615 as a member of the Brotherhood of the Holy Blood of Bruges.
