
Charles François Broche (born Rouen, Feb. 20, 1752; died there, Sept. 30, 1803) was a French organist and composer. He studied with Desmazures at the Rouen Cathedral, then served as church organist in Lyons (1771–72); later went to Bologna, where he studied with Padre Martini. He returned to Rouen in 1777 and succeeded Desmazures as cathedral organist there. Among his pupils was Boieldieu. He published 3 piano sonatas (1782) and wrote some organ pieces.
