About Central Casting
Born out of the long winter of 2009 and 2010, Central Casting were originally conceived as a backing band for songwriter Douglas E Powell. But it was clear from the start that the musical chemistry between its members was far too great to merely be a backing band. So they started work on material which will eventually become album number 3 for Douglas E Powell. Central Casting's musical influences range from traditional English folk, Americana, rock, heavy metal, punk and electronica.
