Cecilia Cheung (Hanzi: 張栢芝 pinyin: Zhãng Băi Zhī, Cantonese: Cheung Pak Zhi, born May 24, 1980) is a Hong Kong actress and singer of Chinese ancestry with one-quarter British descent. She is affectionately known for her husky sultry voice. Cheung's parents divorced when she was just a child and was sent to Australia to live with her aunt when she was 14. Before completing her secondary education, she returned to Hong Kong at the age of 17 because she missed her family in Hong Kong too much.
