About Cathy Oakes
“Like a Song” is Cathy’s first Solo Piano album and features fourteen tracts of original compositions that inspire a full breadth of emotion. It was quickly followed by a Christmas album, “Let There Be Joy” that received an album of the year nomination at SoloPiano.com. Music has been a part of Cathy’s life since she was a child. Her first lessons in piano came to a sudden end when the family didn’t think she was serious and sold their piano after she was repeatedly caught trying to play with her toes.
