Casting Ships is a Folk/Punk band that takes a strong influence from Sea Shanties and Irish Music. The ep, "The Year," is composed of five little stories, all taking place in America during the year, 1863. While not a concept record, which is completely over done, they just keep to a tradition of story telling.
